Dr. Allison Bonds Travis, MD

Dr. Travis grew up in Waco, TX and graduated as valedictorian of her high school class. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Biology with a minor in Medical Humanities from Baylor University. She then attended the competitive University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas and graduated in the top 15% of her class with an extra Certificate of Knowledge in Community Medicine. She was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society and involved with many international medical missions and community outreach projects. After medical school, Dr. Travis received her general surgery residency training at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School and Parkland Hospital in Dallas, TX. Dr. Travis has been trained in and uses the latest techniques for minimally invasive gallbladder surgery. Gallbladder surgery is one of her most common and favorite operations. She loves it when patients can get back to their normal lives without gallbladder pain. She lives in Frisco, TX with her husband, Daniel.
