Dr. Timothy B. Cole, MD, FACS
Dr. Cole was raised on a cotton farm in the Texas Panhandle near Clarendon, Texas. He graduated summa cum laude from West Texas State University, and subsequently attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas where he graduated in 1992. After 5 years of surgery residency training at the University of Kansas where gallbladder evaluation was a major focus, Dr. Cole practiced for the following 16 years in Lincoln, Nebraska until returning home to the great state of Texas in 2012. While in Nebraska, Dr. Cole was an adjunct instructor for the University of Nebraska. In addition, the time in Nebraska helped make Dr. Cole an avid Cornhusker football fan! Dr. Cole has removed over 4000 gallbladders over the past three decades in practice. He is trained in the latest minimally invasive techniques for gallbladder removal when surgery is necessary. He particularly enjoys it when patients return to the office after having their gallbladder surgery no longer having the discomfort they had before the procedure. Dr. Cole's combination of quality gallbladder surgical training, many years of heavy concentration on gallbladder surgery, and good "old-fashioned" bedside manner will help make your gallbladder evaluation and surgical experience the best that it can be. Dr. Cole has also been a pilot for 18 years and is proud to be a designee of the Federal Aviation Administration as a Senior Aviation Medical Examiner. Dr. Cole is proud of his Texas roots; Cole’s 4th great grandfather, Gabriel Cole, fought in the Siege of Bexar (1835) at San Antonio in the Texas Revolution.
